I've included a list of the top 10 smartest dog breeds below. These dogs are so intelligent that, if trained properly, they can easily pick up a new trick with only five or so repetitions. They are extremely attentive and can, at times, even outsmart their owners.

I wanted to buy my son a Shetland Sheepdog, but son was unwilling to scoop-the-poop. If a child wants a dog, he has to show responsibility. Well, he's older now, we never did get the sheepdog, but still love them.

I seen Pit Bulls were not on the list. In the right hands, they can herd sheep, guard homes, retrieve game (properly trained) give 1,000 kisses a day. And do tons of tricks. The bad part is they are so eager to please people that when bad people get them, they are made to do bad things. Also keep in mind that in order to get them to fight, they are beaten, starved and drugged. How, would a poodle react if treated the same way?
